part 1 part 2
Education these days is based on lack. It's based on the idea that kids need to learn things.
That a teacher- someone who is longer on earth in this human life- and learned how to transfer believe systems -
can mold kids into something we as society decided people need to live and be.
Teaching in the school structures at the moment is transferring believe systems from one person to another. About how life works in all it's facets from one perspective, that of mass consciousness.
There are different views and school systems. But in essence they aren't very different.
Even Rudolf Steiner schools and alternative systems are often very much focused on how the adult believes
kids should live. They should have the freedom to do this or that, they should learn how the universe works,
how you can live together peacefully, they preach.
In my view that is still not really honoring the mastery of kids. It's putting your beliefs on the kid.
Why, do people ask, don't you create your new school? Do you want to join this new education group? And I say, no, thank you.
Why not? I tried. I really did. But the group dynamic, the consciousness isn't supporting the new kids really. It's often so much about the teachers and parents instead about the kid. About how they want to heal their inner child by creating the environment they never had,
sometimes about a rigid need for structurelessness. For meditation, for out of the box thinking, or the need to still fit in.
Almost always the notes come in. The structure, the vision for a new project or school. And that is like redecorating the same box you lived in all the time.
O yeah it can be satisfying for a short time, but it doesn't give the satisfaction of moving to a new neighbor hood.
The word school will be erased from the dictionary. The whole idea that kids need to be at one place for most of their childhood is weird imo.
In Holland we can't home school.
I worked as teacher on primary and high schools. I've seen many different schools from inside as kid and as teacher. Mainstream schools, alternative schools.
And one thing I learned. We are transferring believe systems from one person to another.
One simple thing I do is I imagine the 4 year old kid that came to school for the first time. I couldn't believe what I saw. I just couldn't and still can.
I don't understand how people can think that sitting in 1 room all day can make someone happy. It are those simple things that I don't get.
Why I need to be quiet when a teacher tells his story and I don't get time to share my view on folding papers or singing when I rather go home and take a nap.
Many teachers couldn't stand my opinion. That I said what I felt and thought. I left them behind in confusion often. I played their game, and always did something that was completely out of the box.
They couldn't get a grip on me. And I’m so happy for my awareness. That I always experienced the freedom of having my own inner feeling and guidance.
How can we stop transferring believe systems? Stop seeing yourself as the most important person as parent or teacher in the life of the kid.
You're just one of the many people a kid will come across.
One simple thing I would like to suggest is: Stop teaching that there is one answer to a question.
Ask a kid how much is 1 +1 and be open. Let them develop their own answer. Simply listen. Ask them about the universe, about how they feel the world works. Without attachment to the outcome. They will amaze you.
We train kids like dogs to give the right answer to how much 1 + 1 is. When they count like this: 1, 2 ,5, 7 we say it's wrong. But what if, there are many truths, many answers. Isn't it cool to know what your kid originally knows inside?
At this moment alternative ways of parenting and education creates movements, groups of mind liked people that gather. And when they don't put ingredient x in it, the unexpected it, the cycles are always the same. The group dynamic often still works in old ways. Calling something new, doesn’t makes it really new.
I’m here to honor the mastery of the (inner) child.
My clients don’t come to me to process, to solve anything. To go beyond, to learn. Cause being stuck is an illusion in itself. They come to me to breath, to relax. To simply be the magnificence of their soul. There is no I supposed to be doing this or that, or drama. It simply doesn’t exist. I choose to not walk that road. I choose easy, I choose simple. I choose authenticity.
So every time people try to put us the new kids- that we label as crystal and indigo kids- in a box, we want to break out of it. You don’t do us any favor of writing books with our name on it. You do the parents and teachers a favor with it, and indirectly us. But don’t think you talk to us that way, cause it’s not about us. It’s about the concept others make of us. And that time is over. We are not a list. We are not all the same. We don’t act the same, feel the same, think the same. There is no need any more to talk about us, cause we have our own voice. Things might be different than you thought.
